Overview
The ADVANTAGE tennis wheelchair by Vulcan is an athlete-focused, highly adjustable sports wheelchair designed for competitive tennis. Manufactured in South Wales, it is offered in club configurations and precision made-to-measure builds to match athlete size and performance requirements.

Design & Collaboration
Developed in collaboration with the Dan Maskell Trust. The frame and component layout allow fine adjustment of seat position, height, tilt, footrest and other parameters so the chair responds as an extension of the athlete.

Made-to-measure options
Available as precision-built, made-to-measure chairs with choice of materials and construction to suit athlete preference and performance goals:

• Frame materials: 7020 T6 aircraft aluminium, Titanium or ultra-light Magnesium.
• Carbon fibre side guards for lightweight protection and finish.
• Optional Spinergy Spox wheels for lightweight responsiveness (made-to-measure option).

Seat & Wheel Size Options

• ADVANTAGE/12 — aluminium adjustable tennis chair with 26" wheels — 12" seat size.
• ADVANTAGE/14 — aluminium adjustable tennis chair with 26" wheels — 14.5" seat size.
• ADVANTAGE/17 — aluminium adjustable tennis chair with 26" wheels — 17" seat size.
• Smaller seat widths: delivered with 24" quick-release wheels — available for 305mm and 360mm seat widths.
• Larger seat widths: delivered with 25" quick-release wheels — available for 380mm and 430mm seat widths.

Adjustability & On-court Tuning
The ADVANTAGE provides a wide range of user-accessible adjustments so athletes can rapidly tune balance and handling on court:

• Seat rake adjustment — back 17°.
• Forward seat angle — forward 20°.
• Seat fore/aft sliding to optimise balance.
• Seat height and tilt adjustments for stability.
• Backrest height adjustment — baseline 220mm (optional high back available at extra charge).
• Footrest angle adjustment — unlimited pivot forward/back; horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustment with Hook & Loop foot strap.
• Many adjustments are hand-operated; no tools required for routine tuning.

Wheels & Mobility

• 72mm castors for smooth manoeuvrability.
• Black anodised castor forks for durability.
• 6-tab grey anodised push rims for improved grip and control.
• Adjustable anti-tip wheel for increased stability.
• Quick-release wheel options (24", 25", 26" depending on seat width variant).

Comfort & Support

• Ergonomic 2" (50mm) canvas cushion included.
• Adjustable side guards and canvas backrest with tension seat sling for tailored support.
• Hook & Loop foot strap to secure foot positioning.

Made-to-measure & Fitting Technology
Custom builds use Vulcan's Contour Body Mapping® (CBM) system to capture precise body measurements (approx. 2mm accuracy) and produce a digitally tailored frame. CBM allows precise wheel camber adjustment and frame tailoring to athlete dimensions.
