Overview
The Austin Moore Hip Prosthesis is a single-piece (monoblock) unipolar implant that replaces the femoral head while preserving the native acetabulum. It is designed for cementless fixation using proximal stem fenestrations to encourage bone ingrowth. Typical indications include displaced femoral neck fractures, femoral neck nonunions, shortened femoral necks due to resorption, and pathological fractures in osteoporotic bone. The implant is offered with different stem types to fit a range of femoral canal anatomies.
