Overview
The Broad Locking Compression Plate is an orthopedic implant for internal fixation of long bones. Its wider profile is intended for larger bone segments and it is supplied in multiple sizes, hole configurations and two material options to meet varied fixation requirements.

Design and Construction
Each hole features a combination (combi) hole design: one side accepts conventional cortex screws for axial compression while the threaded side receives locking head screws that lock into the plate to form a fixed-angle construct. The design allows conventional screwing, locking, or a combination of both. The plate undersurface is contoured to reduce direct contact with the bone shaft.
