Terminal sterilization for injectable solutions and other pharmaceutical products that must leave the load dry and ready for handling. The steam-and-air mixture sterilization process protects pressure- and heat-sensitive materials from deformation or damage. Conveyors and robotic interfaces support semi- or fully automated workflows.
Typical loads
Suitable for terminal sterilization of a wide range of items, including:
SVP (liquids in ampoules, vials, syringes, cartridges)
LVP (liquids in glass bottles, BFS, FFS)
Contact lenses in blister packaging
Blood plasma pasteurization
Sanitary GMP construction
Built for sanitary application in regulated environments: fully drainable designs, non-retentive surfaces and 316L stainless steel with a smooth finish. Welds are ground flush and fabrication can be documented in a complete logbook. Process-contact materials with EN 10204 traceability and USP Class VI compliant elastomers.
Steam-and-air sterilization process
Pure steam heats the load inside the chamber
Sterile compressed air is injected to balance product internal pressure during heating and cooling
Fans circulate the steam-and-air mixture to keep temperature distribution uniform
Side-mounted cooling coils provide rapid, controlled cooling at the end of the cycle
The load is completely dry at the end of the cycle
Workflow optimization and load handling
SteelcoBelimed supports productivity and quality through semi-automatic or fully automated loading and unloading systems, including conveyors and robot integration. AISI 316L stainless-steel racks with guided positioning and push-pull devices support consistent loading, improved ergonomics and efficient operation.
