Description

Overview
Bioprene peristaltic pump tubing is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tube manufactured without natural rubber latex. It is USP Class VI and FDA 21CFR177.2600 compliant, suitable for biopharmaceutical and food applications. Bioprene provides long peristaltic life and low gas and liquid permeability. Continuous tubing supports operating pressures from 0 to 2 bar; LoadSure® elements increase pressure capability up to 7 bar.

Applications
Metering, transfer and filtration in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and a range of food and beverage processes where low permeability and regulatory compliance are required.

Features and benefits
  • Certification: USP Class VI and FDA regulation 21CFR177.2600 for contact with aqueous food.
  • Sterilisable by gamma irradiation and autoclaving (see LoadSure element notes).
  • Available in multiple bore sizes, wall thicknesses and coil lengths, including bulk reels and LoadSure elements; custom sizes on request.
  • Operating temperature range 5 °C to 80 °C.
  • Beige/opaque colour with low spallation for reduced particulate generation.

Notes
Bioprene tubing is manufactured in a cleanroom to cGMP principles. Supplied double-packed in heat-sealed polythene bags with lot traceability and certificate of conformance. Standard coil length 15 m (50 ft); reels up to ~152 m (500 ft) available for selected sizes. LoadSure® elements provide increased pressure capability for high-pressure peristaltic applications; some LoadSure part numbers have autoclave restrictions.
