Cemented or non-cemented acetabular prosthesis MBA™

The titanium alloy MBA™ hemispherical cup is a cementless acetabular replacement solution, which is part of a philosophy of respect for natural acetabular elasticity. A bioactive titanium-hydroxyapatite bilayer coating is applied using a vacuum plasma spray technique with an excellent industrial control. This cup is combined with a covering insert in ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. DESCRIPTION Presence of 3 slots (0.5 mm) resulting in: - immediate primary stability while respecting the elasticity of the acetabular bone ; - intimate contact with the acetabular cavity ensuring a secondary osteointegration. 2 pins ensuring stability in tilting. 2 fins ensuring stability in rotation. Additional fixation possible using a 5.5 mm diameter screw. Simple and effective instrumentation adapted to all surgical approaches.
