Ankle splint Fly

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Fly Splint is a ready-to-use splint designed for stabilization of the lower limb in clinical settings. The device is fully radiotransparent, can be trimmed with plaster scissors and thermo-formed with hot air to adapt to individual anatomy. Variable material thickness provides central rigidity with lateral flexibility; ventilation holes and an internal cotton sponge with antimicrobial treatment ensure breathability and comfort. The product is biocompatible with patient skin and can be applied directly without interposing additional layers.

INTENDED USE

• Total or partial rupture of the Achilles tendon
• Muscle injury of the gastrocnemius (medial and lateral heads)

APPLICATION & HANDLING
Apply the Fly Splint to the affected segment, trim edges as necessary with plaster scissors and thermoform to correct contour using hot air. Check fit and pressure points; use in immobilization protocols according to clinical guidelines. Suitable for use in emergency departments, orthopaedic wards, trauma units, surgical theatres and cast rooms.
