Modular Operant Chamber LE1005CL is a fully modular experimental enclosure designed for operant conditioning protocols used in teaching and basic research (e.g. food reinforcement, DMTS, conflict tests, self-administration). The unit is supplied as a teaching pack with the essential modules for instruction; additional modules and accessories are available.

Operating principle

The chamber is built from removable modular panels and components, allowing full disassembly or rearrangement to create enclosures of different dimensions or configurations and to minimize storage volume. Conversion between rat and mouse configurations is possible with no need to purchase a separate chamber.

A front access door provides full accessibility to the interior. Walls and cover are removable and can be specified in different materials or colours to meet laboratory requirements.

Each chamber connects to a Link Box that supplies power and I/O to up to 8 Operant Modules (expandable depending on configuration) such as levers, lights, sound generators, dispensers and shock modules, giving autonomous operation to each chamber.

Only one cable is required to link the Link Box to the LE85XCT Programmer or to a PC running PackWin software for protocol configuration and data acquisition.

Options

The teaching pack covers basic instructional needs; additional accessories and operant modules (levers, dispensers, lights, sound modules, shock modules, etc.) can be added to match experimental requirements.

Complete system with programmer

An optional complete system is available including the LE85XCT programmer (PackWin-compatible) for advanced protocol configuration and centralized data collection.
