Product Overview
The Desu External Lumbar Drainage System is a sterile, ready-to-use kit for temporary diversion and controlled management of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) via lumbar access. Intended for neurosurgical theatres, neurological ICUs and emergency neurology units, the set supports controlled CSF drainage for elevated intracranial pressure, postoperative CSF leaks and other neurosurgical indications.

Antibiotic Impregnated Lumbar Catheter
The catheter provides secure lumbar CSF access while delivering localized antibiotic protection.

Infection Prevention
The system combines an antibiotic-impregnated catheter, hydrophobic filter and sealed drainage pathway to reduce infection risk. The catheter provides localized delivery of Clindamycin Hydrochloride and Rifampicin over 28 days to limit colonization by common skin pathogens.

Sterilization and Packaging
All components are individually sterile-packed and the complete set is sterilized by ethylene oxide (EtO). The product is manufactured to international standards for external drainage devices and neurosurgical use.
