The STERIM® Integrator 5 Type 5 chemical indicator verifies all critical parameters of steam sterilization necessary for effective sterilization. The Type 5 indicator can be used in all steam sterilizers, including Enbio autoclaves. Formerly known as Class 5 tests, these Type 5 indicators form the foundation of sterilization monitoring. Monitoring with a Type 5 indicator allows reliable assessment of sterilizer conditions, including steam quality, exposure time, and steam penetration to all packages. Type 5 test strip should be placed inside the package intended for sterilization. After the cycle, check the color of the test field on the strip. A color change from pink to black confirms that the required sterilization conditions have been met.
