Biological tests with short incubation period. The ampoule contains bacterial spores. After sterilization and a 10-hour incubation, spore survival is assessed.
The test ampoules contain bacterial strains and a nutrient medium. The biologically active material, safely enclosed in the ampoule, is placed in the sterilizer chamber.
After the sterilization cycle, the nutrient medium is added and the bacteria undergo incubation at 55–60°C. Preliminary results can be read after 2.5 hours of incubation, while the final evaluation of bacterial growth capability is performed after 10 hours. The retention of the original color in the biological ampoule confirms microbial inactivation and, therefore, the effectiveness of sterilization.
The packaging of the biological test also includes a chemical indicator confirming that the sterilization process was completed.
Advantages :
- Reliable test results, even under stringent sanitary conditions,
- Short incubation period for biological material (preliminary reading after 2.5 hours, final evaluation after 10 hours).
