Bowie&Dick Control strip tests are designed for daily monitoring of steam sterilizer performance using the PCD device. The product is intended for use in sterilizers with a Bowie-Dick test program. Bowie&Dick Control chemical strip tests are used to verify the quality of steam in the autoclave chamber and the penetration ability of the sterilized material. After completing the cycle, the test should be removed from the PCD Control device and checked to see if the indicator substance has moved to the end of the strip. Sterim® Bowie&Dick tests, together with the PCD device, provide a simple and convenient method for ongoing autoclave performance monitoring, allowing reliable assessment of steam penetration into hard-to-reach areas of the load and medical textile materials.
