Description

Overview
Labotemp Rotary Microtome ROM-01 is a full-automatic rotary microtome engineered for precise tissue sectioning in histopathology, diagnostic and research laboratories. The ROM-01 delivers reproducible thin sections with an adjustable section thickness from 0.5 µm to 100 µm. A motorized, high-accuracy specimen feed and stable blade holder ensure consistent contact at the cutting edge for clean, artifact-minimized sections. Automated specimen retraction, programmable cutting speeds and a remote control panel streamline sample preparation and support routine workflow in medical laboratories.

Key benefits
  • Uniform section thickness across 0.5–100 µm for routine and research needs
  • Stable blade performance and precise alignment to reduce section artifacts
  • Improved throughput with automated trimming and programmable cutting cycles
  • Ergonomic, motorized operation to reduce operator fatigue and increase reproducibility

Features
  • Full-automatic operation
  • German stepper motor for precise, reliable and quiet drive control
  • Specimen retraction for safe and easy handling
  • Remote control panel for convenient operation and workflow integration
  • Precise orientation and rotation of the specimen clamp (360° rotation, 8° X–Y adjustment)
  • Ergonomic design for smooth and stable cutting

Applications
  • Routine histopathology sectioning
  • Medical and diagnostic pathology laboratories
  • Research and academic laboratories
  • Tissue sample preparation for light microscopy and digital imaging
