OverviewThe Geniox HP range is a modular air handling unit (AHU) family with an integrated rotary heat exchanger and an integrated reversible heat pump, supplied factory-tested, pre-filled with refrigerant and ready for rapid on-site installation. The solution delivers high heat recovery in cold periods and effective supply-air cooling in warm periods.
Main features- Integrated reversible heat pump for accurate supply-air cooling or heating to preset parameters.
- Frequency-controlled Danfoss scroll compressor with PM motor for efficient variable capacity.
- Electronic expansion valve to ensure stable refrigerant control and prevent incorrect operation.
- Stepless control of cooling and heating capacity for precise regulation.
- High COP and EER values to minimize energy consumption.
- Rotary heat exchanger providing high heat recovery with low pressure drop (dry efficiency up to ~90%).
- Hydrophilic-treated supply and extract coils for low pressure drop; drop eliminator not required.
- Optional boost heater (standard when design temperature < –17°C) or available as separate module.
- Robust casing: 60 mm mineral wool insulation to thermal class T2/TB2; panel corrosion resistance class C5.
- Energy-efficient EC plug-fan modules (high efficiency, low noise, low SFP).
Installation & design- Delivered as a factory-tested, plug-and-play ventilation unit; no outdoor condenser units or external refrigerant pipework required.
- Compact modular design saves installation space (up to ~25% space saving versus other built-in heat pump systems).
- Sections sized to pass through standard door openings: smaller units fit through 800 mm doors; larger sizes through 900 mm doors; heat pump typically installed in a single module section.
Controls & connectivity- Systemair Access control system integrated, with wireless communication option.
- Control interfaces: NaviPad handheld panel, Access Connect smartphone/tablet app, or local UI.
- Modbus communication to internal components simplifies wiring; cloud service available for full monitoring and remote access.
- Pre-programmed functions to optimise AHU operation and enable quick commissioning (plug-and-play concept).
Variants- Geniox HP DF (Defrost Free): designed for maximum year-round heat recovery; no defrost cycle required; heating down to approx. –20°C without preheater; optimised for highest EER/COP; 8 sizes; airflow range ~720–20,000 m³/h (0.2–5.5 m³/s).
- Geniox HP: designed for comfort cooling with efficient cooling recovery; heating down to approx. –12°C without preheater (re-heater typically required in some configurations); 9 sizes; airflow range ~720–30,000 m³/h (0.2–8.3 m³/s).
Benefits- All‑in‑one AHU reduces building footprint and simplifies HVAC installations.
- Fast, easy installation and commissioning — preconfigured, factory-filled and tested.
- Low operating costs thanks to high-efficiency components and intelligent controls.
- User-friendly monitoring and access via app, NaviPad or cloud services.
