The Astrolabe Proximal Humerus 3.5 mm system (LIVTrauma) combines the mechanical strength of a fixed-angle locking construct with the versatility of integrated compression holes within the same plate, allowing the application of locking, compression, or hybrid fixation techniques according to fracture characteristics.

Available in both short and long shaft plate configurations, the system provides high angular stability, particularly in osteoporotic bone and complex fracture patterns. The plates feature multiple proximal locking screw options to support subchondral fixation and maintain reduction of the humeral head, as well as dedicated suture holes to facilitate rotator cuff and tuberosity fixation.

The anatomically pre-contoured design is indicated for:

• Proximal humerus fractures and fracture-dislocations
• Corrective osteotomies of the proximal humerus
• Non-unions of the proximal humerus

By combining angular stability, anatomical conformity, and soft tissue integration features, the system promotes stable fixation, maintenance of reduction, and conditions favorable for reliable osseous consolidation and functional recovery.
