Overview
Accessories for infusion and transfusion administration are designed to ensure secure, compatible and leak‑proof connections during clinical procedures. CODAN supplies a range of adapters, plugs, stopcocks, manifolds and fixation devices compatible with standard Luer and needle‑free systems for use in wards, intensive care and transport.

CODAN adapter
CODAN provides standardized Luer‑Lock connectors and protection plugs with attention to handling and technical reliability. Principal adapter types include:

• COMBI‑LOCK and STANDARD‑LOCK – closure plugs for Luer‑Lock adapters on catheters, 3‑way stopcocks, single‑use syringes and administration sets.
• R‑LOCK – adapter with integrated CODAN Check Valve and male/female Luer‑Lock connection to prevent backflow on 3‑way stopcocks, manifold connectors, administration systems and catheters.
• Connect Z®‑LOCK – protection plug for Connect Z® versions with a needle‑free female Luer‑Lock and a special open‑close mechanism.
• INJEC‑LOCK – injection plug for intermittent medication with needle for use on catheters, manifold connectors and 3‑way stopcocks.

3‑way stopcock and manifolds
STERITEX® 3‑way stopcocks and Multiflow manifolds provide versatile solutions for infusion therapy and intensive care. The STERITEX® stopcock secures connections in every position and rotates 360°, including counter‑clockwise, to maintain correct orientation and avoid accidental opening. Multiflow‑3 and Multiflow‑5 manifolds, optionally fitted with fixation plates, support complex infusion regimens and allow gravity or pump infusions of standard solutions and medications. Colour‑coded plugs reduce line confusion. Multiflow manifolds are also available combined with a swabable, needle‑free adapter (SWAN‑LOCK®).

SWAN‑LOCK® / SWAN‑LOCK® RED
SWAN‑LOCK® adapters provide male and female Luer‑Lock connections for needle‑free addition and withdrawal of fluids. They feature a transparent housing and a clear silicone septum for visual inspection after flushing and offer an effective barrier against contamination. SWAN‑LOCK® RED uses a red transparent housing (clear septum) for colour coding, for example arterial lines. Both versions are compatible with 3‑way stopcocks, single‑use syringes, catheters, extension sets and administration systems.

Multifix‑Manifold holder
Universal fixation device for valve and stopcock ramps. A large screw secures the Multifix to infusion stands of various diameters; a smaller screw fastens stopcock ramps while valve manifolds can be inserted into the holder.

Mounting on infusion stand
Inline Fix 88/99 positions and secures an inline drip chamber to an infusion stand, particularly useful during patient transport.

Infusion bag hanger
An infusion bag hanger can be fitted between the infusion stand and the primary infusion container to prevent tubing kinks or sags on secondary medication lines and to influence the effective gravity of the infusion container.

CODAN CLOSE‑LOCK – Reliable protection
CODAN CLOSE‑LOCK is a needle‑free adapter with a self‑closing valve that prevents leakage and contamination. It has a smooth, disinfectable surface to reduce infection risk and is compatible with standard Luer and Luer‑Lock as well as needle‑free systems like CODAN SWAN‑LOCK®. Suitable for cytostatics and alcohol‑ or lipid‑based medications, it is metal‑ and latex‑free and safe for MRI environments.
