Overview
For diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in urology and gynaecology, CODAN provides irrigation sets configurable for filling, rinsing and continuous irrigation during endoscopic and catheter-based interventions. The sets support pre-, intra- and post-operative irrigation and can be connected to endoscopes or catheters as required.

Key product description
The irrigation sets feature a closure piercing device and a wide-lumen fluid channel to allow high flow rates. They are available as single-supply systems or with multiple spikes for different fluid containers. A large transparent drip chamber with a calibrated orifice (10 drops = 1 ml) enables visual flow control.

Materials and connectors
Transparent PVC tubing plasticised with TOTM enables rapid administration of large fluid volumes. Clamps serve as open/close elements and flow regulators. The distal step connector allows direct connection to catheters (e.g. postoperative bladder irrigation). Options include a combined step connector with silicone tubing for flexible endoscope connection and an optional Male Luer-Lock adapter.

Customization
CODAN irrigation sets can be customised to the user's configuration requirements, including spike configuration, tubing length and connector options.

CODAN CYTO® Urology Irrigation set
For intravesical administration of medication (e.g. cytostatic agents), the CYTO variant is designed to ensure complete drug delivery and reduce contamination risk; it is intended for rinsing with neutral fluids under enhanced safety protocols.

• Cystoscopy: bladder filling with fresh, clear irrigation solution prior to examination
• Transurethral resection (TUR): irrigation and replacement of blood and resection fragments with fresh fluid
