The CODA™ Anterior Cervical Plate (ACP) System is intended for anterior fixation of the cervical spine (C2-C7) as an adjunct to fusion in skeletally mature patients. The plates have an integrated active locking mechanism, are offered in various lengths, and accommodate variable and constrained screws.
About This Product
The system consists of non-sterile and sterile, single-use plates and screws manufactured from titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V ELI). Key components include:
1-3 level plates with 1.9 mm profile
4-5 level plates with 2.1 mm profile
3.5 mm variable self-drilling and self-tapping screws
3.5 mm constrained self-tapping screws
4.0 mm rescue screws in variable and constrained self-tapping
Features & Benefits
Plate Profile
The system includes titanium alloy plates in various lengths with a profile of 1.9 mm (one to three level plates) and 2.1 mm (four to five level plates). A low-profile plate may reduce the incidence of dysphagia.
Screw Angulation
The system allows screw angulation up to 32° in the end holes and offers a 10 mm one-level plate. Higher screw angulation allows the surgeon to choose a shorter plate and place it further from the adjacent disc space, which may potentially reduce the incidence of moderate-to-severe adjacent-level ossification.
Instrumentation
The system includes a tapered screwdriver and a threaded screwdriver which provides secure attachment and control during screw insertion.3 There is one locking mechanism per vertebral level and the same screwdriver can be used for both screw insertion and deploying the locking mechanism.
