Principle
The kit uses lateral-flow immunochromatography to detect target antigens/antibodies in clinical specimens. Captured analytes produce visible lines in the test region within the defined read window.

Clinical / Pathogen Information
Feline coronavirus often causes intestinal signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, particularly in young kittens; transmission is fecal–oral. Panleukopenia is an acute viral enteritis with rapid onset and high mortality in unvaccinated kittens. Giardia infections may be subclinical or cause foul-smelling, greasy diarrhea and weight loss.

Feline Panleukopenia
Infected kittens may show fever, anorexia, vomiting, severe dehydration and bloody diarrhea; neonatal infection can cause abortion, stillbirth or neurologic signs. Mortality is high in unvaccinated populations.

Giardia symptoms in cats
Many infected cats are asymptomatic; symptomatic cases present with intermittent or chronic diarrhea, steatorrhea (greasy stools), weight loss, anorexia and occasional vomiting.

Test Procedure

• Collect specimen: feces or vomit; alternatively collect ocular/nasal/anal swab and wet the swab adequately.
• Place swab into the provided buffer tube and agitate to extract sample; for serum/plasma use the dropper.
• Add 3 drops of diluted sample into the sample well (S) of the test cassette.
• Place the cassette on a flat surface and read results after 5–10 minutes; results after 10 minutes are invalid.

Interpretation of Assay Result

• Positive (+): Both control line (C) and test line (T) visible (T may be faint or strong).
• Negative (−): Only control line (C) visible; no test line.
• Invalid: Control line (C) absent, regardless of T line presence.

Precaution

• Perform testing at room temperature.
• Do not open pouch until ready to use.
• Do not use kits beyond the expiration date.
• Do not mix components from different batch numbers.
• Handle all specimens as potentially infectious following local biosafety regulations.

Limitation
