Product overviewThe HBsAg Rapid Test Device (whole blood/serum/plasma) is a rapid visual immunoassay for the qualitative presumptive detection of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in human specimens. It is intended for use by healthcare professionals as a screening tool in clinical and point-of-care settings.
PrincipleThe device is based on a lateral flow membrane immobilized with anti-HBsAg antibodies. The specimen reacts with colloidal gold-conjugated anti-HBsAg antibodies pre-coated on the sample pad. The resulting complex migrates along the membrane by capillary action; a visible colored band in the test region indicates a positive result. A colored band in the control region serves as a procedural control confirming adequate specimen volume and membrane function.
