Overview
SpryStep® Flex is a dynamic orthosis designed for individuals with foot drop. Its innovative spiral curve and proprietary composite material blend provide flexibility and energy return, improving comfort and mobility for active users. The orthosis fits most shoes, is trimmable at the forefoot for a customizable fit, and is available in right and left versions.

Detailed description
SpryStep® Flex is designed to help individuals with foot drop syndrome, including fatigueable foot drop and foot slap, or other gait irregularities. The orthosis uses an optimised spiral curve and a proprietary material blend that offer superior flexibility and energy return, making it suitable for high-activity users such as runners and hikers. Available in sizes XS to XL and in right and left versions. Classified as a Class I medical device and compliant with relevant regulatory standards.

Indications

• Biomechanical deficits of neurological, traumatic or muscular origin.
• Weak dorsiflexors.
• Fatigueable foot drop.
• Foot drop.
• Footslap.
• Circumduction.
• Vaulting (plantarflexion of the contralateral ankle joint).
• High knee gait.
• Hip hiking / contralateral trunk bending.
• Intended for patients with greater strength and for increased dynamic activities (fast walking, running).

Contraindications

• Do not use if the diagnosis has not been confirmed.
• Do not apply in direct contact with broken skin.
• Known allergy to any of the components.
• Patients weighing greater than 120 kg (250 lbs).
• Severe loss of sensation in the lower limb.
• Open ulcers of the foot, ankle or lower leg.
• Moderate to severe oedema of the affected limb.
• Mild to severe spasticity of the foot and ankle.
• Triplanar instability.
• Plantarflexion contracture.
• Moderate to severe foot deformities.
• Moderate to severe ankle instabilities.
