Overview
The XLR8 rigid-shell walking boot is an orthopedic device designed to immobilise and support the ankle and foot after trauma or surgery. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and offers adjustable compression with an integrated inflation pump for oedema control.

Indications

• Post-operative or post-traumatic immobilisation of the ankle/foot
• Severe ankle/foot sprain
• Stable fracture of the lower third of the leg (long version)
• Conservative treatment of ankle/foot fractures
• Severe ankle/foot tendinopathy
• Conservative treatment of Achilles tendon rupture

Contraindications

• Do not use if diagnosis has not been confirmed
• Do not apply in direct contact with broken or open skin
• Do not use in case of known allergy to any component
• Do not use in unstable fractures or fractures of the upper tibia or fibula
• Not for patients weighing > 130 kg / 300 lbs
• Not to be used in patients with major venous thromboembolic history without thromboprophylaxis
