Operating principle
Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers emit short, high-energy pulses in the nanosecond range. The intense pulses produce photomechanical and photothermal effects that fragment intra-epidermal and dermal pigment particles, facilitating clearance by physiological processes while limiting thermal spread to surrounding tissue.
