Theory
By emitting specific wavelengths (1064 nm and 532 nm), the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivers high-intensity short pulses that fragment pigment particles through photomechanical and photothermal effects. Fragmented particles are progressively cleared by the body’s immune and lymphatic systems, enabling progressive fading and removal of tattoos and other pigmented lesions.
