The X9x features a patented backrest auto-retraction design (auto-regression 75 mm ±10 mm). When repositioning the backrest the back plate retracts ~75 mm to reduce pressure and shear forces in the abdominal/pelvic area, extending the pelvic surface and lowering pressure ulcer risk.
