The C360H Water Vapor Transmission Rate Tester is a gravimetric, ASTM E96‑compliant system for measuring water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of barrier materials across a wide permeability range. It integrates Labthink's patented multi-dish test chamber, precision balance and embedded software for automatic control of temperature, humidity and air flow to deliver sensitive, repeatable results.
Key features- High precision
- Patented test chamber and dishes with advanced hydrodynamic and thermodynamic design for uniform flow over the specimen.
- Proprietary thermostat technology ensures stable temperature control of the test chamber (±0.2 °C).
- Precise regulation and calculation of test conditions for improved sensitivity and repeatability.
- High efficiency
- 12 test stations for parallel testing to increase throughput.
- Supports both desiccant (dry) and water (wet) gravimetric methods.
- Labor saving
- Automatic control of humidity and carrier gas flow.
- Long‑life desiccator design requiring no inner-core replacement (continuous operation up to 20,000 hours).
- High‑efficiency, mist‑free humidity generator.
- Simplified operation
- 12-inch touch screen running Windows 10 for intuitive control.
- Fast automated test procedures and optional DataShield™ for centralized data management.
Product features (summary)- New‑generation multi-dish test chamber ensures uniform airflow across the specimen surface, stable environmental control, shorter test duration and improved measurement accuracy.
- Suitable for high-, medium- and low-barrier materials with precise real‑time control of temperature, humidity and air velocity.
- Automatic monitoring and regulation of air velocity; mist‑free humidification and continuous long‑term operation without desiccator core replacement.
- Optional DataShield™ system for secure centralized data storage and multiple export formats; optional GMP computer and CFR21 Part11 support.
Test principleThe specimen is mounted in a test dish containing water (water method) or a desiccant (desiccant method). The dish is placed into the chamber where temperature, humidity and airflow are controlled. Water vapor permeates the specimen toward the dry side; periodic mass changes of the dish are recorded to calculate WVTR and related parameters.
