The C360M Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) Test System is a gravimetric-method instrument for accurate WVTR determination of barrier materials according to ASTM E96 and related standards. It combines a patented multi-dish chamber, precision test dishes and a high-precision balance with embedded software for automated control of temperature, humidity and air flow.
Key advantages- Patented multi-dish chamber and precision test dishes engineered for uniform flow and stable thermal conditions across the specimen surface.
- Proprietary thermostat technology for precise chamber temperature control and high measurement stability.
- Real-time regulation and calculation of temperature, relative humidity and air velocity to ensure repeatability.
High efficiency and automation- Six simultaneous test stations to increase throughput.
- Supports both desiccant (desiccant method) and water (water method) test modes.
- Automatic humidity and flow-rate control; long-life desiccator design (no inner-core replacement required).
- High-efficiency, mist-free automatic humidity generator for extended continuous testing.
Operation and data handling- 12" touch-screen with Windows 11 for intuitive operation and fast automated testing sequences.
- Embedded professional software for automatic parameter control; optional DataShield™ software and accessories for centralized secure data management and multi-format export.
Product features and capabilities- New-generation chamber and dishes shorten test time and improve accuracy via a uniform and stable environment.
- Designed for accurate measurement of both high- and low-barrier materials with precise real-time condition control.
- Automatic air-velocity control and monitoring; desiccator continuous life up to ~20,000 hours.
- Flexible professional modes for R&D and optional centralized data management (DataShield™).
Test principleThe specimen is mounted in a test dish containing water or desiccant and placed in the controlled chamber. Water vapor permeates through the specimen; periodic weight measurements of the dish yield WVTR and related parameters.
