Description

The C301H is a laboratory instrument for measuring water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) using an infrared moisture sensor, designed to meet ASTM F1249 and ISO 15106-2 for high-precision WVTR testing of films, containers and sheets. It provides dual-mode testing (film and container) in the same cabinet, automated test control, and optional data management and gas purification modules for specialized applications.

Principle
  • A sample is clamped between test chambers while nitrogen with stable relative humidity flows on the high-humidity side and dry nitrogen on the low-humidity side. Water vapor diffuses through the sample to the low-humidity side and is carried by dry nitrogen to the infrared moisture sensor; the sensor signal is analyzed to obtain WVTR.
