Overview
Planmeca CBCT imaging units provide a complete dental 2D and 3D imaging portfolio including three types of CBCT imaging, panoramic, extraoral bitewing and cephalometric options. Systems deliver clinically relevant 3D datasets while enabling dose optimisation for dental patients.

Premium image quality
Planmeca 3D units incorporate advanced algorithms and intelligent imaging features to support clear diagnostic images at optimised doses. Available options include movement correction, artefact reduction and noise suppression.

Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ imaging
The Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ protocol enables CBCT acquisition at very low effective patient doses while maintaining image quality comparable to standard 2D panoramic images for many diagnostic tasks; this protocol is supported by scientific studies.

Automatic patient movement correction (Planmeca CALM®)
Planmeca CALM® is an algorithmic solution for correcting patient movement. It operates across all volume and voxel sizes, typically adds under 30 seconds to reconstruction time, and is available as an option for Planmeca CBCT units.

Comprehensive imaging software (Planmeca Romexis®)
Planmeca Romexis® is the platform that supports 2D and 3D dental imaging and CAD/CAM workflows, providing tools for multiple specialties and facility sizes.
