The Planmeca ProX™ intraoral X-ray unit delivers precise positioning, a streamlined image acquisition flow and high‑resolution 2D images suitable for dental and oral surgery workflows. Adaptable intraoral imaging
Planmeca ProX™ supports both short‑cone and long‑cone techniques. A stable X‑ray arm combined with a lightweight tube head enables accurate placement without drift, facilitating reproducible intraoral imaging.

Quick imaging parameter settings
Pre‑programmed exposure profiles cover common region‑and‑diagnosis combinations and are automatically selected based on the chosen exposure area. All exposure parameters remain user‑adjustable to match specific clinical requirements.

Intraoral sensor integration
When used with the Planmeca ProSensor® HD intraoral sensor, Planmeca ProX™ provides near‑instant on‑screen images after exposure, improving throughput and reducing patient chair time.

Seamless workflow with Romexis®
Full compatibility with Planmeca Romexis® imaging software enables image review, enhancement, annotation and the use of customisable study templates for structured case management.

Exposure value documentation
Exposure parameters are automatically recorded to Planmeca ProSensor® HD sensors and to Planmeca ProScanner® 2.0 plates. Romexis® also supports parameter recording for third‑party TWAIN intraoral images, improving dose traceability and reducing manual data entry.

Flexible installation options
Multiple mounting and installation configurations are available to integrate the unit into different clinic layouts and workflow preferences, including wall, ceiling and mobile support options.

Operational analytics
