Overview
Planmeca ProMax® 3D Mid is a dental CBCT 3D imaging unit designed to cover a wide range of clinical applications including dental, endodontic, ENT and maxillofacial imaging. It provides flexible volume options and imaging modes to support diagnostic and treatment planning workflows.

Movement correction
Planmeca CALM® is an optional motion-correction algorithm that reduces artefacts caused by patient movement on CBCT images and is available for Planmeca 3D units.

Dedicated endodontic imaging
Endodontic mode delivers exceptionally high resolution with a voxel size of 75 μm to visualise fine anatomical details critical for endodontic diagnosis and treatment.

Low dose imaging
Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ offers scientifically validated low-patient-dose CBCT imaging; usable across voxel sizes and modes and, in many protocols, achieving doses lower than panoramic imaging.

Presets & specialist options

• Multiple anatomical presets developed for ears, nose and throat (ENT) imaging.
• Braces imaging protocol certified for use with the SureSmile system to support imaging of patients with orthodontic appliances.

User experience & workflow
Open patient positioning, simple scout imaging and an intuitive control panel provide a smooth imaging workflow and comfortable patient experience.

Model scanning & software
3D model scanning of impressions and plaster casts produces surface models (STL) for treatment planning without an intraoral scanner. Planmeca Romexis® software supports 2D/3D imaging and full CAD/CAM workflows.

The patented SCARA robotic arm delivers extensive, precise movement range for fast and accurate imaging across a wide selection of imaging programs and voxel sizes.
