The Astrolabe Distal Femur 4.5 / 5.0 mm system provides a stable and secure fixed-angle construct through the use of locking screw technology, ensuring precise screw-plate interface stability and optimized load distribution.

The system includes an insertion/targeting guide that facilitates minimally invasive surgical techniques (MIPO – Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis), allowing accurate plate positioning and percutaneous screw placement while preserving soft tissue integrity and periosteal blood supply.

This anatomically pre-contoured plate is designed for the stabilization of distal femoral fractures, including:

• Intra-articular fractures
• Supracondylar fractures
• Metaphyseal and distal diaphyseal fractures
• Complex and comminuted fracture patterns

The 4.5 mm cortical and 5.0 mm cancellous locking screw configurations provide angular stability and rigid fixation, particularly beneficial in osteoporotic bone and multifragmentary fractures, promoting conditions favorable for reliable fracture healing and early functional recovery.
