The Astrolabe DHS/DCS 4.5 / 5.0 mm system comprises a comprehensive range of Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS) plates and Dynamic Condylar Screw (DCS) plates, available in multiple lengths and configurations to address proximal and distal femoral fractures.

The DHS plate is indicated for the treatment of:

• Pertrochanteric fractures
• Intertrochanteric fractures
• Selected subtrochanteric fractures
• Basicervical (basal neck) femoral fractures

The system allows controlled dynamic compression along the femoral neck axis while maintaining angular stability through the fixed-angle screw-plate interface.
The DCS plate is indicated for:

• Supracondylar femoral fractures
• Distal femoral fractures
• Subtrochanteric fractures requiring fixed-angle stability
• Corrective osteotomies of the femur

Utilizing 4.5 mm cortical screws and 5.0 mm cancellous screws, the system provides stable fixation, controlled axial compression, and effective load transfer, promoting fracture stability and favorable conditions for bone healing.
