The Astrolabe Tibial Osteotomy 4.5 / 5.0 mm system is indicated for corrective high tibial osteotomy (HTO) procedures in cases of unicompartmental knee osteoarthritis, where degenerative changes predominantly affect a single compartment of the knee joint.

The procedure involves controlled osteotomy of the proximal tibia followed by angular realignment to redistribute mechanical load from the affected (degenerative) compartment to the relatively preserved compartment. This biomechanical correction aims to reduce pain, improve joint function, and delay the need for total knee arthroplasty.

The plating system provides stable fixation of the osteotomy site through 4.5 mm cortical and 5.0 mm cancellous screw configurations, supporting angular stability and maintaining the planned correction during bone healing. The construct is designed to ensure reliable stabilization under physiological loading conditions, promoting predictable osseous consolidation.
