The Astrolabe Proximal Tibia 4.5 / 5.0 mm system provides a stable and secure fixed-angle construct through advanced locking screw technology, ensuring precise screw-plate interface stability and optimized load transfer across the fracture site.

The system incorporates an insertion/targeting guide that facilitates minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) techniques, enabling accurate plate positioning and percutaneous screw placement while preserving soft tissue structures and periosteal vascularity.

This anatomically pre-contoured plate is designed for the stabilization of proximal tibial fractures, including:

• Extra-articular fractures
• Partial intra-articular fractures
• Complete intra-articular fractures
• Intra-articular fractures associated with coronal plane fractures (e.g., posterior condylar fragments)
• Periprosthetic fractures of the proximal tibia

The 4.5 mm cortical and 5.0 mm cancellous locking screw configurations provide angular stability and construct rigidity, particularly beneficial in osteoporotic bone, comminuted patterns, and complex periarticular fractures, promoting reliable alignment maintenance and favorable conditions for osseous consolidation.
