Product overviewThe super translucent zirconium dioxide guarantees excellent aesthetic results, especially in the posterior region, and offers additional benefits: high translucency for natural aesthetics in fully anatomical crowns and bridges and high material strength enabling production of larger bridge frames. CAD/CAM products made of BEGO Zirkon ST are available as precolored blanks in 16 VITA classical shades. BEGO Zirkon ST Multi are pre-colored blanks with a shade gradient. The realization of thin-tapered crown margins reduces finishing work considerably. Restorations can be veneered with all standard veneering ceramics suitable for zirconium dioxide. For fully anatomical restorations, finishing can be performed by polishing and/or glaze firing with stain.
Key benefits- Ultimate strength meets outstanding translucency
- Outstanding aesthetic results
- Consistent shade accuracy and reproducibility thanks to precolored blanks in 16 VITA classical shades (BEGO Zirkon ST Multi also available with color gradient)
- For fully anatomical or reduced crowns and bridges for classical veneering and partial layering up to maximum-length restorations
- Production of bridge frames with up to 16 units and up to two adjacent pontics
Indications- Fully anatomical crowns and bridges in anterior and posterior regions with up to 16 units and a maximum of two pontics
- Bridge frames for partially and fully veneered solutions in anterior and posterior regions with up to 16 units and a maximum of two pontics
- Inlays / Onlays / Veneers
- Telescopic primary crowns
- Dentine core crowns and bridges
Contraindications- Tangential preparation
- Chamfer preparation with a circular rising preparation margin (“guttering effect”)
- All-ceramic restoration if minimal clinical requirements for available space and preparation shape are not satisfied
Recommendations for shade selectionThe shade effect of BEGO Zirkon ST Multi (gradient blanks) is significantly influenced by wall thickness. Thinly designed frameworks appear significantly brighter (up to two tooth shades) than the selected shade. For posterior restorations, choose one shade darker than the target to match surrounding teeth. Glazing and polishing produce different outcomes: for glazing, select the target shade; for polishing, the result tends to be one shade darker, so select one lighter shade if polishing is intended.
