Product overviewDraft Resin prints up to four times faster than Formlabs' General Purpose Resins on Form 3 Series printers, making it ideal for initial prototypes and rapid iterations. Parts printed with Draft Resin exhibit a smooth grey finish and high accuracy. Use 200-micron settings for fast print speeds, or use 100-micron settings for models with finer details. Draft Resin is compatible with Form 3 and Form 2 Series printers. The V2 reformulation reduced layer thickness by 33%, improving surface finish and accuracy, reduced support touchpoints, and shortened Form Wash and Form Cure processing times.
Key features- Prints up to 4x faster than standard Formlabs General Purpose resins on Form 3 Series printers.
- Available print settings: 200 μm for maximum speed, 100 μm for finer detail and accuracy.
- Smooth grey finish with improved surface quality (V2 reformulation reduced layer thickness by ~33%).
- Improved post-processing: fewer support touchpoints and reduced wash and cure times compared to prior formulation.
- Optimized for rapid prototyping, rapid design iterations, and high-throughput part production.
Compatibility- Compatible printers: Form 3, Form 3L, Form 3B, Form 3BL, Form 2.
- Compatible tanks: Form 2 LT Tank, Form 3 Resin Tank V2.1, Form 3L Resin Tank V3.
Material properties (summary table)Parameter | Green | Post-Cured at Room Temperature | Post-Cured at 60 °C

Applications & post-processingPrimary applications include initial prototypes, rapid prototyping, dental models (for thermoforming clear aligners), rapid design iterations, and high-throughput parts. Post-processing: wash parts (isopropyl alcohol or ether wash) to remove excess resin, then post-cure to reduce surface tack and achieve intended mechanical properties. Typical post-processing equipment: Form Wash / Form Wash L for washing and Form Cure / Form Cure L for post-curing. Post-curing increases tensile strength and modulus (see material properties above).
Additional notes- V2 reformulation provides reduced layer thickness and improved surface finish versus original Draft Resin.
- For Form 4 Series printers, Formlabs recommends using Fast Model Resin (designed for Form 4) rather than Draft Resin.
