The Taurus 2 WIDE LOW is a rehabilitation bed combining the best features of the Taurus series with solutions that enhance patient comfort, stability and ease of use. The WIDE model offers an extra-wide mattress platform (120 cm) and an extremely low mattress platform position to improve patient safety and independent mobility.

Main features and design notes:
The four-column construction provides increased stability and a durable powder-coated finish.
The mattress platform can be positioned very low (approximately 20 cm above the floor) to enhance safety and assist with independent transfers; the lowered side rails can be completely lowered to facilitate getting up and sitting down without obstructing the patient.
The four-section mattress platform is available with metal slats (easy disinfection) or flexible wooden slats; the backrest is electrically adjustable via the hand controller while the lower leg section is adjusted by a ratchet mechanism.
Bed ends are made of laminated board and solid beech wood; in the WIDE LOW version the bed ends are non-enclosed so actuators and side rail guides are exposed.
The ergonomic 10-function hand controller provides comfortable access to all adjustments and includes a lockout feature for bed movements.
Beds from the Taurus 2 WIDE series include dedicated sockets on both sides at the head end for easy installation of additional accessories (e.g. lifting pole, IV stand).
Optional Bed Extension Kit allows extending bed length by 20 cm for taller patients; the kit is self-installable and does not affect bed functionality.
