The CuratOR SC431 is a UHD surgical field camera system with an integrated three-axis mount designed for recording and live broadcasting in operating rooms. It captures smooth 4K/60p images and video with stabilization and imaging controls tailored to surgical lighting and workflows.

Imaging functions
The SC431 provides Knee (reduces halation from surgical lights), Black Stretch (improves visibility in dark areas), Noise Reduction and 10‑bit color output for accurate tonal gradation. Controls include exposure mode, metering area, YUV color matrix, white balance and sharpness to maintain well-balanced capture in challenging OR lighting.

Detailed view & zoom
The 30× optical zoom enables detailed visualization of small target areas and narrow surgical sites. The lens accepts ND filters to control glare and overexposure; an ND filter is supplied as standard.

Mount & movement
The integrated camera mount offers pan ±170°, tilt +90° to −30° and roll ±200°. Movements remain parallel to the field of view regardless of roll. Intelligent stepping reduces pan/tilt/roll speed as zoom increases to permit precise adjustments at high magnification.

Connectivity & outputs
The Camera Control Unit (CCU) provides 12G-SDI and HDMI for 4K UHD output and 3G-SDI and HDMI for Full HD. All outputs can be active simultaneously for previewing and recording across mixed-device environments. Remote control interfaces include LAN, RS-232C and IR remote.

One-cable connection
The camera head connects to the CCU via a single dedicated cable transmitting video, audio and power to simplify installation. Available cable lengths: 5 m, 25 m and 35 m; an optional extension adapter allows cascading two cables (5 m + 5 m or 5 m + 25 m).

Audio capture
The camera head includes a built-in microphone with synchronized audio output from the CCU. Microphone on/off is controlled by a single button.
