Product overviewThe AM-TX-04 CARINATUM is a torso brace indicated for conservative treatment of pectus carinatum (pigeon chest). It is designed for pediatric use during growth to apply controlled anterior–posterior compression and gradually remodel chest wall deformity.
SPECIAL FEATURES- Torso brace for anterior–posterior compression
- Class I medical device
- Waterproof finish (powder dye and galvanization)
- CALIPER BUCKLE fastening system for controlled adjustment
- Discrete design (fits under clothing)
Purpose of use- Conservative correction of pectus carinatum (pigeon chest) in growing patients
What is Pectus Carinatum (Pigeon Chest)?Pectus carinatum is a chest wall deformity characterized by an outward protrusion of the sternum and adjacent cartilages. It can be isolated or associated with syndromic conditions. While heart and lung development are typically normal, the altered chest mechanics may reduce respiratory endurance and affect posture and self-image, commonly presenting in boys during early adolescence.
How does CARINATUM work? The AM-TX-04 frame is manufactured from aluminum 6061 T6 to provide stable but lightweight support. Padding uses medical-grade foam to relieve pressure on bony prominences. Applied during the growth phase, the brace delivers sustained anterior and posterior compression via the CALIPER BUCKLE system, which allows precise, incremental adjustment. With systematic use, the device assists in remodeling cartilage and bone to restore a more physiological chest contour. The product is intended for continuous wear during treatment (designed up to 24 h/day, 7 days/week as prescribed).

Warnings / AttentionDue to aluminum components and a rigid frame, the brace is contraindicated for contact sports where collisions occur. Avoid use in conditions with chronic cough in cold environments. Follow clinician guidance for wear time and monitoring.
How to measureDetailed measurement instructions and a demonstration video are provided to guide selection of the correct size based on back width at the level of the scapulae and chest circumference.
