Our Adult Spine phantom consists of 25 individual vertebrae assembled on top of each other and encased in a semi-cylindrical-shaped body-mimicking tissue. It is majorly composed of the following components.Cervical Vertebrae (C1 – C7)Thoracic Vertebrae (T1 – T12)Lumbar Vertebrae (L1 – L5)Adult Spine Phantom consists of 25 individual vertebrae assembled on top of each other and encased in a semi-cylindrical-shaped body-mimicking tissue. The vertebrae have a realistic three-layered structure with inner porosity which can be adjusted according to the requirement of the particular project. The Phantom is designed based on average human anatomy, and the bones are made out of realistic patented bone material that is suitable for MRI and X-Ray CT applications. It can be used for medical imaging research and treatment planning of various medical procedures. (Upon request, it can be modified for a lumbar or spine lumbar practice phantom with soft tissue-mimicking material surrounding it)The phantom can be further customized with a water-fillable spinal canal inside the vertebrae or with a prefilled spinal canal for medical imaging or research applications. In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, which makes this product the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with proton-density imaging methods. The phantom can still be imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, and they are within the range of about 100 ms.Included in Order:Adult Spine PhantomUser Manual/Assembly Instructions2-Year Warranty & Unlimited Customer ServiceHard Carry CaseSize & Weight:Phantom:Size: 22 x 7 x 7 InchesWeight: 30 Lbs (approx.)Shipment:Size: 32 x 23 x 13 InchesWeight: 55 Lbs (approx.)Materials Used:Soft tissue and organs: Composition of urethane-based soft resinSynthetic bones: Patented ceramic-reinforced epoxy-based composite materialTechnical Properties:Type of TissueSound Velocity [m/s]Density [g/cm³]Hardness [Shore 00]T2 [ms]Hounsfield ValueAttenuation Measured at 2.25 MHz [dB/cm]Cortical Bone3000 ± 302.31N/AN/A13006.4 ± 0.3Trabecular Bone2800 ± 502.03N/AN/A130021 ± 2Soft Tissue1400 ± 101.026050 ms251.7 ± 0.2Thermal Properties of Bone-Mimicking Material:Thermal ConductivityVolumetric Specific Heat CapacityThermal DiffusivityThermal ResistivitySpecific HeatSpeed of Sound0.776 W/ m K1.040 MJ/ m³ K0.746 mm²/ s1.289 m K/ W0.978 J/ g Deg Celsius3070 m/sHU Values of the Tissue-Mimicking Materials:S.No.Tissue TypeHU Value (average)1Trabecular Bone8002Cortical Bone1300Characteristics / Technical Specifications:Model: SE-A0125 individual vertebrae (C1–C7, T1–T12, L1–L5)Encased in semi-cylindrical body-mimicking tissuePatented bone material suitable for MRI and X-Ray CTCustomizable spinal canal (water-fillable or prefilled)Realistic T2 relaxation time for MRISize: 22 x 7 x 7 Inches (phantom), 32 x 23 x 13 Inches (shipment)Weight: 30 lbs (phantom), 55 lbs (shipment)Soft tissue: urethane-based soft resinSynthetic bones: ceramic-reinforced epoxy-based composite2-Year Warranty & Unlimited Customer ServiceHard Carry Case included
