The Adult Breast (Complex) for X-Ray CT, US, MRI is a life-sized representation of a female breast, meticulously crafted to reflect typical anatomical features. This phantom is particularly useful for medical professionals and students who are seeking to develop their skills in breast examinations, especially in the detection and diagnosis of tumors. By using the phantom, they can practice various imaging techniques, learn to identify different types of breast abnormalities, and gain experience in interpreting mammograms and MRI scans. The Adult Breast (Complex) for X-Ray CT, US, MRI is a realistic phantom designed based on the average anatomy of a female breast, containing all essential bones and organs. This phantom is compatible with X-Ray/CT, US, and MRI imaging, making it an ideal tool to study, research, and test medical imaging devices. In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, making this product the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with Proton Density imaging methods. The phantom can still be imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, within the range of about 100 ms. This phantom is a life-size female breast phantom with all bony and major organ structures. BT-A01 can be used to study several diagnostic procedures under X-Ray/CT, US & MRI in different orientation and positioning techniques. Upon request, this product can be customized to different pathologies as well as for specific training applications.Anatomy:Partial Ribs and CartilageOne LungMajor Fat TissuesMajor MusclesAxillary Lymph NodesSubcutaneous AdiposeRetromammary AdiposeMammary GlandsTwo Spherical TumorsIncluded in Order:Adult Breast (Complex) PhantomUser Manual/Assembly Instructions2-Year Warranty & Unlimited Customer ServiceHard Carry CaseSize & Weight:Phantom:Size: 10 x 9 x 10 InchesWeight: 11 Lbs (approx.)Shipment:Size: 32 x 23 x 13 InchesWeight: 45 Lbs (approx.)Materials Used:Soft tissue and organs: Composition of urethane-based soft resinSynthetic bones: Patented ceramic-reinforced epoxy-based composite materialTechnical Properties:Type of TissueSound Velocity [m/s]Density [g/cm3]Attenuation at 2.25 MHz [dB/cm]Hardness [Shore OO]T2 [ms]SpecklesOrgans with Speckles (liver, kidneys, etc.)1435 ± 100.991.0 ± 0.22070VARIABLEOrgans without Speckles (stomach, intestines, etc.)1400 ± 100.991.0 ± 0.22070NOBody Tissue1410 ± 101.001.5 ± 0.23555NO/LOWTumor Feature1400 ± 101.011.2 ± 0.23065YESCortical Bone3000 ± 302.316.4 ± 0.3N/AN/AN/ATrabecular Bone2800 ± 502.0321 ± 2N/AN/AN/AAll standard phantoms are coated with a protective layer of harder urethane rubber to offer enhanced appearance and safeguard the phantom from scratches. This coated layer also provides a glossy finish and slightly changes the hardness of the phantom. The Hardness [Shore 00] for the ‘Body Tissue’ mentioned above is measured without the coat layer. The coat will increase the hardness by approximately 30 points (e.g., if the body tissue hardness is OO 35, the coated body tissue will be OO 65).Thermal Properties of Bone-Mimicking MaterialThermal Conductivity0.776 W/ m KVolumetric Specific Heat Capacity1.040 MJ/ m^3 KThermal Diffusivity0.746 mm^2/ sThermal Resistivity1.289 m K/ WSpecific Heat0.978 J/ g Deg CelsiusSpeed of Sound3070 m/sS.No.Tissue TypeHU Value (average)1Body Tissue-252Trabecular Bone8003Cortical Bone1300Note: By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance.
