The Adult Breast (Simple) is a realistic phantom. Its design is based on the average anatomy of a female human breast. This phantom is compatible with X-Ray CT, US, and MRI. This makes it an ideal tool to study, research, test, and calibrate medical imaging devices.This breast phantom has 50% standard glandular composition and 50% fat tissue by volume.The embedded lesion has an attenuation coefficient similar to that of the glandular breast but with a higher electron density. This makes the lesion difficult to detect on an X-Ray yet easy to detect on Ultrasound.
