IntroductionBrucellosis is a zoonotic infectious disease caused by Brucella spp., affecting livestock (sheep, cattle, goats) and posing a public health risk. This kit is intended for quantitative monitoring and diagnostic support by measuring Brucella antibody titers in mammalian serum, plasma or whole blood.
Benefits- One-step testing on whole blood, serum and plasma.
- Simple operation suitable for field screening and point-of-care use by trained personnel.
- Rapid workflow with results displayed in approximately 15 minutes.
- High throughput potential: per-test handling can be ≤10 seconds at fastest, enabling up to ~270 samples/hour under optimal conditions.
- Portable detection device with mobile-terminal operation and cloud-based quality control.
- High analytical sensitivity, reported comparable to enzyme-labeled assays.
PrincipleThe assay uses high-sensitivity fluorescent nano-microsphere labeling in a competitive quantitative format. Detection is performed by a sensitive fluorescent immunoassay reader that quantifies antibody titers in serum, plasma or whole blood. The platform supports monitoring, diagnosis and evaluation of control measures.
For antibody class identification, a membrane-based immunoassay format for IgG/IgM is described: the IgG component contains anti-human (species-appropriate) IgG on the test line to capture complexes formed by specimen IgG and antigen-coated particles; the IgM component captures complexes formed by specimen IgM and antigen-coated particles. A control line verifies sample volume and membrane flow.

ProcedureThe kit employs fluorescent nano-microsphere labeling with a competitive assay format read by a high-sensitivity fluorescent immunoassay device. It is designed for rapid quantitative determination of Brucella antibody titers in serum or plasma, suitable for field or laboratory workflows with portable instrumentation.
Other items / Related productsRapid diagnostic test kits for companion animals and livestock are available, as well as ELISA and PCR/RT-PCR kits for bovine/goat pathogens (Brucella Ab, BVDV, TB, FMDV, FMDV non-structural protein 3ABC, mastitis panels, etc.). Refer to product catalog for specific references and application formats.
Interpretation of assay resultDistinct test regions identify antibody classes; appearance of a colored/fluorescent signal in test regions indicates presence of specific antibodies. The control line confirms correct specimen volume and membrane wicking. Quantitative readout is provided by the reader according to the kit calibration curve.
