Description

Product overview
The Giardia lamblia - Cryptosporidium - Rotavirus - Coronavirus Antigen Combo Test is a rapid diagnostic tool for detecting Giardia bovine antigen, Cryptosporidium bovine antigen, bovine rotavirus antigen and bovine coronavirus antigen. It is intended for use with cow feces or vomit samples to rapidly identify whether young cattle are infected with any of the four pathogens. The test uses an immunochromatographic method to produce visual results.

Introduction
The product performs immunochromatographic detection: after adding diluted sample to the sample well, antigen in the sample binds to colloidal gold-labeled monoclonal antibodies (GIA, CRYPTO, ROTA, BCV). The formed complex migrates along the chromatographic membrane and is captured by corresponding monoclonal antibodies pre-coated on the membrane, producing a visible test line. If the antigen is absent, no visible T line is formed. A control (C) line is included to verify the validity of the test; the C line must appear for a valid result.

Components
  • Test devices
  • Droppers
  • Single buffer
  • Instruction for use (IFU)

Principle
The test is a rapid immunochromatographic assay for simultaneous detection of GIA/CRYPTO/ROTA/BCV antigens. The antigen in a diluted sample specifically binds to colloidal-gold-labeled monoclonal antibodies. The antigen–antibody complex migrates along the strip and is captured by pre-coated monoclonal antibodies at the test (T) lines, producing a colored line if antigen is present. The control (C) line appears in all valid tests to confirm the assay worked correctly. Absence of colored T lines indicates negative results; absence of a colored C line renders the result invalid.

Benefits
  • One-step testing (supports whole blood, serum and plasma in related product protocols).
  • Simple operation; suitable for non-professional on-site inspection.
  • Fast detection; results displayed in about 15 minutes.
  • Very high throughput: test time ≤ 10 seconds; up to 270 samples per hour at maximum speed.
  • Compact, portable detection equipment; supports mobile terminal operation and cloud platform quality control.
  • High detection sensitivity, comparable to enzyme-labeled kits.

Test procedure
  • Collect specimen (for this product: fresh feces or vomit from cattle). For related matrices, serum or plasma may be used; apply testing immediately after collection.
  • Take the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
  • Place 2-3 drops (around 70-100 µL) of specimen into the sample hole. Start timer and wait for result.
  • Interpret results within 5-10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are considered invalid.

Interpretation
If a colored line appears at the T position for any of the target analytes (GIA, CRYPTO, ROTA, BCV), that analyte is detected (positive). If no T line appears but the C line is colored, the result is negative. If the C line does not color, the test is invalid and should be repeated.
