Description

Product overview
The Giardia lamblia – Cryptosporidium – Rotavirus – Coronavirus Antigen Combo Test is a rapid lateral flow immunochromatographic kit for qualitative detection of Giardia (bovine), Cryptosporidium (bovine), bovine rotavirus and bovine coronavirus antigens in cattle feces or vomit. It is intended for on-site screening in young cattle presenting diarrhoea and dehydration to support clinical decision-making.

Function / Principle
After adding the diluted specimen to the sample well, target antigens (GIA, CRYPTO, ROTA, BCV) bind to colloidal gold‑labelled monoclonal antibodies. Complexes migrate along the membrane and are captured by immobilised monoclonal antibodies at their respective test lines, producing visible coloured lines if the corresponding antigen is present. A control (C) line indicates validity; absence of the C line invalidates the result.

  • Simple operation suitable for field use by trained personnel or veterinarians.
  • Fast results: interpretation recommended within 5–10 minutes; results read after 15 minutes are invalid.
  • Potential for high sample throughput due to short assay time.
  • Compact, portable format compatible with mobile workflows and third‑party quality control systems.
  • High analytical sensitivity comparable to enzyme‑labelled methods (manufacturer claim).

Components
  • Test devices
  • Droppers
  • Single buffer
  • IFU (instructions for use)

Test procedure
  • Collect fresh feces or vomit specimen and prepare according to IFU.
  • Open the foil pouch and place the device on a horizontal surface.
  • Add 2–3 drops (≈70–100 µL) of prepared specimen into the sample well, start the timer and wait.
  • Read results at 5–10 minutes. Results after 15 minutes are invalid.

Storage and stability
Store kit at 2-30°C. Do not freeze. Protect from direct sunlight. The kit is stable until the expiration date shown on the package (18 months).
