Description

Introduction
The Porcine Trichinella Antibody Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Trichinella spiralis antibody (TRI Ab) in pig serum or plasma specimens. The kit is intended for on-site screening in veterinary and slaughterhouse environments.

Benefits
  • One-step testing with whole blood, serum and plasma.
  • Simple operation suitable for non-professional on-site inspection.
  • Fast detection workflow; preliminary result visible within 5–10 minutes, final read at 15 minutes.
  • High throughput: test time per sample ≤ 10 seconds; up to 270 samples per hour at maximum throughput.
  • Compact detection equipment and mobile terminal operation with cloud-platform quality control support.
  • High analytical sensitivity comparable to enzyme-linked immunoassays.

Components
  • Test devices (individually foil‑pouched)
  • Droppers
  • Single buffer solution
  • Instruction for use (IFU)

Principle
The assay is based on a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic format. The test device has a T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. When the prepared sample is applied, it migrates laterally and interacts with pre-coated Trichinella antigens. If anti-Trichinella antibodies are present, a visible T line appears. The C line must appear to validate the run.

Storage and Stability
Store at 2–30°C. Do not freeze. Protect from direct sunlight. Stable until the expiration date marked on the package (18 months).

Test Procedure
  • Collect fresh whole blood and separate serum or plasma. Perform testing immediately after specimen collection.
  • Remove test device from foil pouch and place it horizontally on a clean surface.
  • Apply 2–3 drops (approx. 70–100 µL) of serum or plasma into the sample well. Start timer.
  • Interpret results between 5 and 10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are invalid.

Interpretation
The presence of the C (control) line confirms a valid test. The appearance of a T (test) line indicates detection of anti-Trichinella antibodies in the specimen.
