Principle
The Brucella IgG/IgM Test Kit is designed to detect Brucella antibodies in whole blood, serum or plasma. After specimen is absorbed into the cellulose pad, Brucella antibodies migrate and bind with gold-colloid complex of Brucella antigen on the conjugate pad, forming Ag-Ab complexes. These complexes then form Ag-Ab-Ag direct sandwich bindings with Brucella antigen on the nitrocellulose membrane. Test results appear as lines on the Control and Test regions according to immunochromatography principles.

Storage and stability
The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable until the expiration date (18 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test Procedure

• Collect fresh whole blood from cattle and obtain serum or plasma specimens for use. Apply testing immediately after specimen collection.
• Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
• Place 2-3 drops (around 70-100 µL) of serum or plasma specimen into the sample hole. Start timer and wait for the result.
• Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are considered invalid.
