IntroductionHWTAi® African Swine Fever Virus Real-time Fluorescent PCR Detection Kit (P72+CD2v+MGF+IC) uses real-time fluorescent PCR to amplify and detect P72, CD2v and MGF genes of ASFV. The kit is intended for detection of ASFV nucleic acid in whole blood, serum, plasma, lymph nodes, spleen, muscle, lung, oral fluid and environmental samples. An internal pig-derived DNA control (IC) is included to monitor sample quality and the amplification process. The quadruplex format supports routine surveillance, biosafety screening and differentiation between epidemic strains and strains with CD2v/MGF deletions.
Benefits- One-step testing on whole blood, serum and plasma with minimal preprocessing.
- Simple workflow suitable for on-site use by trained veterinary or farm personnel.
- Rapid turnaround: results displayed in approximately 15 minutes; individual test time ≤ 10 seconds under high-throughput conditions.
- High throughput: up to 270 samples per hour at maximum speed.
- Compact and portable detection instrument with mobile terminal operation and cloud-based quality control.
- High analytical sensitivity comparable to enzyme-labeled assays; internal IC ensures validity of negative results.
PrincipleThe kit uses specific primers and fluorescent probes targeting the P72, CD2v and MGF genes of the ASFV genome in a quadruplex real-time PCR format. Fluorescent signal acquisition enables simultaneous detection of targets and the internal pig DNA reference, and allows discrimination between wild-type epidemic strains and deletion variants lacking CD2v and/or MGF sequences.
