All MediCare Gynae pessaries are a Class IIa Medical Device intended for short-term use (up to 30 days) and self-management.
A ring with support pessary is commonly used as a first-line treatment for mild to moderate pelvic organ prolapse, especially when both uterine and vaginal wall support is needed.
When to Use a Ring with Support Pessary:
Mild to Moderate Uterine Prolapse (Stage I–II)
Helps elevate and support the uterus by bracing against the vaginal walls.
Cystocele (Bladder Prolapse)
The added central support helps lift the anterior vaginal wall and bladder.
Rectocele (Mild Posterior Wall Prolapse)
Can offer some posterior wall support in less advanced cases.
As a Trial Pessary
Often used during the fitting process because it’s easy to insert, remove, and assess patient comfort.
Patients with Intact Vaginal Tone
Works best in women who have enough pelvic floor tone to keep the pessary in place.
Patients Preferring Self-Management
Ideal for users who want to insert, remove, and clean the pessary themselves.
Used for a first to second degree prolapse complicated by a mild cystocele.
